I don't like microwaves. Really, I don't. So I warm up leftovers in the oven.They are lightweight, yet sturdy.I normally use a Corelle plate and this matching Corelle bowl. I place the food on the plate and use the bowl to cover it.My food normally warms up in about 10 minutes or so. It comes out piping hot.I remove the bowl and serve the plate.Also, I have taken the food off of the heated plate and placed it on one that is room temperature, then run HOT water over it to cool it down some what.Even with baked on stains, I haven't had a problem getting the dishes clean. Either I can soak it and scrub it with a plastic scrubber or put it in the dishwasher and run a pot scrubber cycle.I have tons of them. They stack nicely in a drawer which is where I store my plates and bowls.I have had only one or two to break in the 15 or 20 years I have been using all of the Corelle products. I had a large plate to break about 4 weeks back, but it broke in half, not in a thousand shards.I highly recommend these dishes.

Corelle has been around for ages and can last the ages. I have heard stories lasting 30 years. It is not break proof. But break resistant beats stoneware anyday. A great product should not suffer in ratings because the retailer has made an error on the 6 3/4" inch bowl. Rate the product, not the seller.

Strong, simple good looking lines (goes with most settings) and an excellent size for individual dessert, soup or cereal servings--plus the strength of Pyrex! What's not to like?

Corelle plates and bowls have been with our household ever since I remember.
We used to have (we still have them but they are on the shelves) Corelles with color designs but we decided to stick with simple plain ones which is easier to match.

Pros:
-Durable. Me and my wife have dropped them many times; and they don't break easily.
-Light. Less stress for our kitchen shelves.
-Microwave safe
-Easy to clean
-Dishwasher safe
